Teams Championship
Abingdon
Duplicate Bridge Club is introducing a teams of four competition
for which a trophy will be awarded on an annual basis.
For
the calendar year 2010 the competition will be contested across four separate dates
– namely:- 30 March, 29 June, 31 August, 30 November.
Rules
1.
Team member’s names to be advised prior to
2. Points
will be awarded according to the number of tables in play.
For example, if 10 tables are in play, each
member of the winning team
would secure ten
points towards the overall team score. Each member of
the team finishing
second would secure nine points, the team finishing
third - eight
points etc.
3. A
team may bring in other players to cover absentees, but only the scores
of nominated team
members will count towards the overall team total.
Indeed, any points secured by substitute
players will count towards
their own
nominated team (if any).
4. In
the event of a tie, the trophy will be awarded to the team with the
better “head to
head” record.
