This year there were insufficient entries (81) in the Club heats to warrant semi-final stages (at least 86 competing pairs as defined in the OBA prospectus). This page and its associated link deal with the qualifiers for the final to be held on Sunday May 10 2009 at 1345 for a 1400 start.  These qualifying pairs have been determined from heats around the County held during club nights in the months of October and November 2008.  These Clubs were Abingdon, Aylesbury, Bicester, Oxford, Summertown, Wantage and Witney.  The pairs chosen from each heat were determined on a pro-rata basis, depending upon the number of pairs electing to participate in the competition. Organisers of the heats have sent in their results sheets and should have also accompanied this with addressed envelopes for the top half of the field.  This was not done in all cases, so not all qualifiers for the final will be notified by post, but by an email to either one/both of the qualifying pair or the relevant Club Secretary instead. 

Please ensure that notification of your intention to play or otherwise has been sent to reach me by 31st January 2009, or your acceptance cannot be guaranteed.

Please contact me at the email address below if your acceptance (or otherwise) does not appear on these pages within 7 days of the notification being sent.  Also included are the pairs that are reserves for the final - these will be notified if a place becomes available.
